6 brilliant ways to amp up your morning routine

Not everyone is a morning person, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make your morning routine a meaningful one. Award-winning psychologist, Ron Friedman, has said there’s a three-hour window at the beginning of each day where you’re able to be your most productive. Upon waking after a good night’s rest, the mind is at its sharpest and ready to do its most valuable work. Your most creative thoughts may come to you immediately following sleep. Your energy levels are also at their peak after sleep, which is why you should take advantage of maximizing those first few hours of your day.

Here are six ways you can improve your morning routine:

1. Avoid Screen Time

Use those first moments after waking up doing something meaningful rather than mindlessly scrolling through social media. Precious time will be sucked away as you spend time looking at your phone or tablet rather than doing something that will actually make your day more positive and productive.

 2. Eat Breakfast

You’ll have more energy and perform better throughout your day. In fact, eating breakfast has been found to improve memory, attention, information-processing abilities, and creativity. Experts recommend eating 30 grams of protein within the first 30 minutes of waking up. Protein-rich foods will keep you feeling fuller longer because they take more time for your stomach to digest and will help prevent you from feeling hungry until lunch.

3. Think Positively

Each morning, get into a positive mindset. Consider the wise words of the Dalai Lama who said, “Everyday, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.” Spend a moment meditating each morning. Clear your mind. Filter out any “noise” or negative self-talk. This will give you a fresh outlook on the day ahead. It will improve your focus and make you happier and more productive.

 4. Make Goals

Take a few moments to write out your goals and objectives for the day. Believe it or not, the simple act of writing down your daily goals will vastly increase your chances of completing them. Keep them where you can reread them throughout your day, whether that be on a mobile device or piece of paper, as a reminder of what you are trying to achieve.

 5. Exercise

Making exercise part of your morning routine is not only important for your body, but also your brain. A 2016 study published in Neurology said exercising regularly can slow your brain from aging by up to 10 years! You’ll also find you’re more productive at work when you make time to exercise often. Make sure you have food in your system beforehand as well to boost your energy during your workout.

 6. Prepare At Night

Spend a little time the night before picking out your outfit for the day ahead, packing your lunch, or making your to-do list. This will not only save you time, but leave you feeling less stressed or rushed in the morning.

Another important morning habit - take care of your skin! Make sure to apply an anti-aging moisturizer with SPF before going outside.

yoga poses for better breasts
Yoga Poses for Better Breasts

Underneath all breast tissue is a muscle.  Just like hamstrings or biceps, chest muscles need to be worked and exercised in order to hold their firmness and shape.  Unfortunately, weak chest muscles and outside influences like gravity and breastfeeding, along with significant weight gain or weight loss, can cause breasts to lose shape and sag. Strengthening your chest muscles by working them daily can lead to perkier, firmer, and even larger breasts.
